The Great Controversy

This video starts with Ms. Cami Oetman talking about a young Muslim believer in Nazareth who changed his life when he accidentally came in touch with the Bible and Christianity. He changed his life and surrendered to Jesus but that did not go down too well with the extended family who were out to kill him. When they finally reached his home, they tried to stab him but were unsuccessful as the knife bent instead of hurting him. Even today this youung Adventist goes around Nazrene preaching the good word and helping people to get Baptised and get closer to God.

Ezekiel Ch: 28 and Isaiah: 14 talk of the Fall of Lucifer and how he in turn took his revenge with humanity knowing that God would

Self — righteousness vs Righteousness is the dilemma afflicting the world today.

The Bible talks about how Lucifer and his angels cast off heaven and why it happened. This was the beginning of the Great Controversy.

Deut 15: 15–19 states:

15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

16 And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house, because he is well with thee;

17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his ear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18 It shall not seem hard unto thee, when thou sendest him away free from thee; for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee, in serving thee six years: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19 All the firstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt sanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy bullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.

The concept of a judge and jury emanated in heaven. God could have easily cast off one-third of the angels and destroyed them but that would have led to an obedience of fear by the others. And so God found it necessary to stablish the Freedom of Choice. He cast out the Devil and his coterie from heaven and gave him the liberty to try and manipulate God’s people, not because God wanted just another fan following for the devil but He wanted the devil to be taught a permanent lesson.

Thus we have two sides: Lucifer and his angels and God and His angels

Eze 28: 17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

We see the Polarisation of Faith right from heaven. Today’s Christians unfortunately are no better because the devil is polarising two ends of the same church against each other.

But I digress. The question that arose back then was:

Who would be the Jury? Who would judge without any stakes? God explicitly states, It is the saved who will be the Jury.

3 Characteristics of the Jury

1. When a jury is selected, they choose people who have little or no knowledge of the crime
2. A juror must be a law- abiding citizen
3. A juror must be able to discern between right and wrong and must not be swayed by public opinion

1 Cor : 2: 3 states 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

Satan seeks to bribe us. He has to con and convince humans. He promised Eve that she could be like God. The same serpent that turned Eve to evil, has deceived the whole of the human race. Adam and Eve were disqualified from Jury Selection. But Jesus bought them Hope. He promised to Die for them. For Us. Irrespective of who we are today, what we believe in and how we look. Jesus bought Salvation for each one not a chosen few. However, it is a chosen few who will ultimately know the value of the Life we are gifted.

Jesus promises to die for their sins and He did. God has made a way through Him so we can return to the Paradise.

Now the book of Exodus talks of the Israelites moving out of captivity. These were difficult times. They needed help. They needed God.

Ps 77:13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

God gave the GPS — Gospel Plan of Salvation — A Blueprint. This was to help us to navigate. Give Israelites the GPS and to the world through them.

Now we can see each part of the heavenly sanctuary divided in the following manner (and you must watch the video for the image)

We see the Altar of sacrifice where animals were sacrificed, signifying Jesus Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for mankind.

The Laver signified the essence of Baptism.

The Table of Showbread signified God’s Word

Matthew 4: 4 states, But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God

Altar of Incense signified the essence of Prayers.

The 7 Branched Candlestick represents The Holy Spirit who gently like the light of the candle guides us to God. Ms. Oetman says, Shine brightly for Jesus by being A Witness. We see the Ark with the Ten Commandments inside. The Sanctuary forms a cross.

John 14: 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Each part of that sanctuary shows how Jesus was wounded.

Ex 12 — talks about the Jews moving out of Egyptian captivity.

Ex 14- Pharaoh changes his mind. It is also at this time that God opens the Red Sea which represents the Laver — Baptism

Ex 15 — states that the Jews cried out in hunger and God rained Manna from heaven. This representing the show-bread.

God says to every human, “You are my peculiar treasure.” God is now bringing them to the candlestick asking them and us today to prepare our hearts. But why did God say so to the Jews of old?

Exodus 20 explains how God Himself gave mankind the Ten Commandments. This was to be the simple ten — step method to qualify for the kingdom of heaven.

In the New Testament, The Three Temptations of Satan fail and Jesus continues to preach. Matthew, Mark Luke and John all speak in unison of Christ’s entry in this world the first time and then talk of His departure to heaven too.

The book of Acts reflects on the early church and Baptism while from Romans to Jude we are shown the Importance of Witnessing, Prayer and Standing for Jesus. Revelation is God’s plan of Salvation unfolding in front of our eyes. The Bible implores us that we be not blinded.

Rom 10: 9 states That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

John 14: 15 If ye love Me, keep My Commandments.

Israelites stray into Babylonian captivity. Israel rejected Christ through his lifetime. When Christ gave up the ghost on the cross finally, the veil tore top to bottom. The Blueprint was thus taken away from the Literal Israel.

That did not deter God from transferring the mantle from literal Israel to Spiritual Israel. God gives them the gift of tongues and nothing can stop them. Satan stops the incessant Christians. He raises Literal Israel, Rome to stop figurative Israel.

Their blood is like a seed, it multiplies. Satan changed his tactic and began to corrode the fundamentals of the church. Three Timeline Prophecy of Daniel talks of the Little Horn to cast down the Sanctuary. For every Bible truth, Satan has its counterfeit. People were told that Christ’s sacrifice was not enough, His sacrifice was cast down.

The Catholics soon replaced Godly-traditions with man- made traditions. We are going to replace sprinkling from immersion baptism. They went up to the table of Showbread. The priests only can read the Word. tradition over all else. You cannot pray directly to God, hence the addition of priests as intercessors and the concept of confessional.

The RC church messed up the Ten Commandments. They cast the Seventh Day Sabbath and made it Sunday. Satan is determined to mess with God’s GPS. The 2300 prophecy which would end in 1844 talks about the cleansing of the Sanctuary. God decides in 500 years restores all the truths of the Dark Ages.

John Wycliffe in 13th Century gets the Bible translated in English restoring the Showbread.

Martin Luther in 14th century and Reformation happens in 15th century restoring the quest for Truth.

In 1500s John Calvin founded the Presbyterian Movement. Effectively restores the Altar of Incense.

In the 1600s, John Smith studies His Bible, cancels the notion of infant sprinkling. He became the founder of the Baptist Movement. The Laver is restored.

In 1700s the Methodists are started by John Wesley- Let your light so shine.

The 18th Century, The Seventh Day Adventists restores the Ten Commandments thereby completing the restoration of the Sanctuary. God wants us to know the Bible Truth

Rev 7 talks of The Seal of the Living God while Rev 14 talks about the Three Angels Message of spreading the Truth to the whole world.

In 1844, All Articles of Truth were restored. This was done by the Seventh Day Adventists. Our heritage is derived from all of the aforementioned movements. So, Ms. Oetman now implores each one like Noah to Get into the Ark of Safety before its too late. the angels with the 7 last plagues will afflict those who have ignored the message willfully.

Psalm 91: 1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Isa 43: 1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

What you have stored in mind is of Saving value.

Rev 12: 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

The opening of the books is not to condemn but to reveal Satan’s truth. Heavens work on Records. When the Millenium begins the Righteous engage with the angels and sing glory to God. This is Earth’s Final Reality.

Heb 12: 29, 2kings 6: 17, the story of Moses and the burning bush and the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego all remind us of God’s Fiery and Divine Presence. In the end it will be the unanimous decision to kill the wicked.

Isa 66: 23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

We will keep the Sabbath for Eternity. Satan wants you to believe your doubts and doubt your belief. But if you want it today, God will come in to fill your life. Our God is Able. Death couldn’t handle Him and the Grave couldn’t Hold Him. Our God is Just and that is why we can place our Trust in Him.
