Dozee — India’s wonder gadget for my mother
At the outset, let me confess that I am not someone who easily recommends anything to anybody; much less if I have not used it and not researched about it, so whatever you read here is less of a fan blog and more of a user- review.
When I first read about Dozee, I was researching on monitors that actively helped with recording Sleep Data. A friend had quite a bit of difficulty with his sleep patterns and for me, it was just another problem that must have a solution. I read up on Sleep therapies, remedies and finally gadgets and devices. The ones available lacked in one department or the other. And then Dozee happened!
Given the current fast paced technological advancements, we as a collective have forgotten how sleep is actively a part of our lives and its impact is only felt when we ourselves are hit in a big way.
so here was what was different with Dozee. It records Oxygen levels, Heart Rate and your stress levels without you having the need for electrodes. It keeps a track of the person’s vital stats thus enabling daily monitoring. Oh and it does get better! You can share your records with your friends and family through an app so if at all something goes wrong (God forbid) you will get an intimation and so will your family.
The evidence was too compelling to let it pass and so I got one for my friend. He seems to be satisfied for now. And seeing his satisfaction, I immediately got one for my Mother. And here’s how it looks:
The Dozee is special because of it’s cute size; non — intrusive, no unnecessary ruckus attached to it and most importantly, no unnecessary drama of waiting around with too many wires here and there.
This is what makes it perfect for elderly people who make a lot of fuss about these things in hospitals.
The Dozee is perfect for my mum currently and I am also attaching her sleep score from today.
As an asthmatic she does have a lot of issues falling asleep which makes it imperative to make a note of how well she is sleeping and Dozee helps me with just that. I am glad I made the decision of getting her a Dozee because now when I wake up in the morning I just log on to the app and see if she’s had a good sleep and if there is anything worth worrying about. The COVID pandemic has brought with it a million more problems when it comes to older people and Dozee is an answer to my prayers honestly because now I can monitor my mother’s issues and I am up to date if she needs a doctor.
And so the above is mum’s sleep chart with her Blood pressure, respiration and her stress levels all charted out.
In a week I am going to be posting a follow up for this post telling you how I am able to help Mum deal with her issues.
