How do we as humans know how does God separate His Chosen ones from the others. The answer lies within the pages of your Scriptures.

The summary of God’s Law is given in the Ten Commandments. But before we get into further details, Cami Oetman talks to us about a little sheep called Shrek. Shrek was lost for 6 years and while he was straying away from predators he put on 27 kilograms of weight and the wool just kept increasing. Finally when his master found him, he shaved off the excess wool and Shrek could move around normally. Shrek was tired of all his extra baggage, but the shepherd helped him. The point is the Shepherd never gave up on his sheep, just the same way God never gives up on us.

Matthew 11: 28 -30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

God has a special sign on His People. He cannot enter the kingdom of God who does not bear this mark; this seal.

Rev 7: 1–3 states, And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Those who respect God enough to keep his Sabbath commandment are the ones who have respected His every word for them.

Rev 14: 6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Jesus came to the earth so that we maybe saved. He ensured that He set a precedent for us to follow.

Matthew 28: 18,19

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The different verses that explicitly talk about God’s seal include:

Rom 4: 11

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Clearly mentioning that as long as one has faith in Christ Jesus and is willing to observe the Sabbath he can and will be saved.

Ezekiel 9:4
4 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Rev 7: 2,3 — And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Eph 1: 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Eph 4: 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

This signifies that : A seal may stand for a truth or requirement of God. Also, a seal may also talk of ownership and authenticity. We are genuine, trusted, authentic followers of God when we follow His words with faith and without question.

Matthew 7:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Seals in our world, officially identify national laws and legal provisions. It also gives the law givers name, title and territory

Ex 20: 8- 11–

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The Fourth Commandment is the Seal because it does have:

a. God’s name

b. Title

c. Territory

d. Authority of our Creator behind the seal

Jesus is our Creator and Redeemer

Rev 4: 10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation talks of Judgment and the day when the books are opened.

Rev 5: 9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Ex 31: 16, 17

16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Ez 20: 12

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.

Seal on the forehead

Forehead here means the Mind which is the Ability of discernment. Psychologically the Prefrontal cortex symbolises thinking, wisdom and discernment

Rev 7: 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Genesis 1; 1–4

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

God has defined the Sabbath in 24 hours. It’s Time defined — Time is what it takes to make a friendship with God.

Ex 20: 10 — But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

If a couple stops spending quality time with each other, the marriage falls apart.

Gen 2–2,3

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Mark 2: 27

27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:he wilderness hungry,

Ex — 16: 4, 5–25,26; Ex 30 and Ex 20: 8 all talk of the sanctity of Sabbath.

It is the only commandment that Starts with the word — Remember. So What could possibly make people to forget God’s Commandments?

Luke 16: 17 — Jesus rejected any one who accused him of breaking the law.

17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Matthew 5: 17 -19 ; Rom 13: 10; Acts 17: 2; Acts 18: 4; 1 Peter 2: 21

All the above serve as reminders that Jesus kept the Sabbath in life and death.

Interestingly, the Christian gentiles also kept the Sabbath after Jesus’ death and Resurrection.

Acts 13: 42–44

42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Now many Christians, worship on Sunday in honour of the Resurrection

Rom 6: 3,4 : Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Matthew 24: 20

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

A clear indication here that God does not want us to break the Sabbath even inadvertently.

Rev 1: 10 — Assumptions — First day is the Lord’s Day

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

Matt 12: 8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Mark 2:28, Luke 6:5, Isa 58:13 all highlight this point.

Definition of the word “evening” as found in Mark 1:32, Lev 23:32 and Gen 1:5 are indicators that the Sabbath begins on Friday sunset and lasts till Saturday sunset.

In the New Testament it is Sabbath commandment that has been mentioned most and with good reason, because Jesus wanted us to Remember God every day and spend Exclusive time with Him each week. What a blessing to be united with Christ!

Matthew 4: 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

The Sabbath is the day of the Lord’s and is unchangeable. It is Not what a minister or human says because there is none greater than Jesus.

Scriptures say, the Permanence of the Holy Sabbath Day is something that cannot be compromised.

Isa 66:22,23

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

John 14: 15 states: 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Ms.Oetman finishes this beautiful talk with two brilliant stories that you can listen to here:
